'Think some of you should maybe have a look back in history of why things happen. When you partition countries for a desperate bid to keep some power like in Ireland, what did you think would happen honestly?
Whilst I wouldn't dispute that it suited the UK's strategic position to partition Ireland, if they hadn't done so the bloodbath in Ulster would have made what happened in the south in the 20s and in the north in the 60-90s look insignificant.
'It didn't work to well in India either did it?'
A sight better than not partitioning, I would have thought.

Would have done some on here a lot of good to listen to what the Derry based Protestant clergy said about McGuinness yesterday and Clinton's quote from Mandela about people taking up bitterness and hatred on his behalf., when they haven't been directly effected

I don't think you get to give yourself a glamorous title like 'freedom fighter' when you target women and kids, Norman.
No doubt that's what the IRA and the Unionist terrorists like to think of themselves, but I suspect in their hearts they'd feel a lot guiltier than a true freedom fighter.
